Un triplete de Raphinha impulsa a un Barcelona con pleno de victorias

3 min de lectura

Raphinha’s hat‑trick gave Barcelona a 3‑1 victory over Sevilla, keeping the Catalan club a six‑point clear in front of Real Madrid as LaLiga enters the international break.

Sevilla opened the scoring when Youssouf Fofana headed a shot into the net in the 19th minute, putting the hosts ahead in the first half. The game was a tactical battle, with the Andalusians pressing high and Barcelona struggling to maintain possession.

Barcelona responded with a dramatic turnaround: Raphinha netted three times, scoring at the 22nd, 52nd and 69th minutes. His goals reversed the deficit and secured the win on home soil.

With the result, Barcelona now records seven consecutive victories, the best run in the league, and sit atop the standings. They remain six points clear of Real Madrid, who will face Atlético on Sunday after the break.

Manager Hansi Flick described the first half as “difficult” and noted that Barcelona “lost the ball too many times.” He added that Sevilla’s high press made it hard for the Catalan side to circulate the ball quickly.

Raphinha now leads LaLiga’s scoring charts with 12 goals in seven matches, a five‑goal advantage over teammate Lamine Yamal and the leading forwards from Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano. Flick praised the player’s quality and his adaptability to playing as a number nine.

In the second half, Yamal proved a key link, heading in a corner at the 52nd minute and providing the assist for Raphinha’s third goal. Raphinha nearly added a fourth from a corner in the 64th minute, but the ball struck the post.

Defender Rodri had a pivotal role in the first half, helping to recover possession and organize the back line. His performance was cited as crucial for stabilising Barcelona’s play.

Sevilla captain Gabriel Suazo admitted the team “lost a bit of energy” and could not sustain the early pressure, explaining the defeat. He spoke to Movistar+ during the post‑match interview.

The match also saw a muscular injury to Andreas Christensen, with the club awaiting a full diagnosis the following day.
